Justice Society: World War II Review

https://youtu.be/nHvmGIakjmk

Yo wsup world, it’s ya man Slim Jim Longfoot aka Tha GOAT: King of America. This is a SPOILER REVIEW on the WB Animated movie Justice Society: World War II. Currently watching as I type. 25 minutes into the movie, it is great so far. It starts off during World War II and Steve Trevor proposes putting together a covert super team for the United States. It will be led by Wonder Woman, thus the Justice Society of America was born. Cut to the present we're at a park in Metropolis seeing Barry Allen aka The Flash having a picnic with Iris West. This is the first time I have seen Iris animated as a black woman. The first time the character was portrayed as a black woman was on The CW series The Flash (2014-present) by Candice Patton.

An explosion happens in Metropolis so their picnic and discussion about their future was interrupted. Flash aids Superman in a fight against Brainiac. This team-up is the first between the duo. While running to save Superman being shot at by Brainiac with a Kryptonite bullet, Flash enters time machine speed via the Speed Force. Dr. Fate appears, telling Flash to keep running and follow his voice. Flash ends up in the middle of a battle in France where he encounters Wonder Woman, who believes him to be Nazi Germany's answer to The Flash. The JSA consists of Hourman, Jay Garrick (The Flash), Hawkman and Black Canary. Black Canary is feeling a certain type of way after the realization hits that even Future Boy (the name they give Barry) don't even know about them. It was okay to be covert in the present, but dang...no one in the future even knows them?

The animation on this series looks great. It looks to be the same team that was behind Superman: The Man of Tomorrow. Things just got interesting. Shakespeare, the war correspondent for the JSA found a young man in a cell....the man gave him a torn package. Through the rip you could see the insignia of the House of El, bka the Superman logo. Shakespeare was then shot and the bullets bounced off of him.....What does this mean? About to continue watching...Shakespeare is Clark Kent!!! And Flash realizes he isn't in the past...he's on a different EARTH! It didn’t make sense to me because the president of the U.S was mentioned by name, Roosevelt...but the man they showed looked more like Truman. It is now established that The Flash didn't go back in time but he is on an Earth where the present is akin to our 1940s. Shakespeare's parents (Johnathan and Martha died when he was 3. So he has no drive to use his powers for the betterment of mankind. Aquaman appears and has been brainwashed by the Nazis!!! Steve Trevor is a major simp in this movie....every turn he's oogling Diana...understandable but jeez man.

Actually Aquaman isn't brainswashed by the Nazis but by this Namor looking dude who was saved by the Atlanteans. He wants to use the Atlanteans to take over the surface world. Looks like the Kraken has been unleashed....oh boy. Hawkman dies a valiant death saving Black Canary....Kind of pissed at Wonder Woman.....why she didn't punched the Namor looking dude that is CONTROLLING Aquaman instead of Aquaman? lol Hourman complains he's not much use without his powers (his powers make him strong and invulnerable for a hour) Well buddy get some gadgets, a sword, some guns....SOMETHING lol Black Canary goes apesh*t with her sonic scream.Snap....WW broke Aquaman's trident. Trevor gets stabbed because he turned his back from a guy who just picked up the sharp end of Aquaman's trident.

German planes on the way... but Superman comes to finally save the day. Wonder Woman and Trevor say their goodbyes as he dies trying to put his ring on her finger. WW gives the ring to Barry. Jay helps Barry get back to his world and he arrives just as his past self leaves to go to their world, snatches the Kryptonite bullet out of the air and throws it back at Brainiac's head killing him...boss. Flash proposes that he and Superman work together in the future and find other heroes like them. Superman accepts. Barry gets back to his picnic with Iris and it ends with his proposal, and Iris accepting as he puts the Trevor ring on her finger.

This was another solid animated movie from WB Animation, proving that when it comes to animating their characters...DC is top notch, yet Warner Bros. can NOT for the life of them...make a solid series of movies around these same characters.  Thanks for reading. If I Can, I Will | A mantra of Positive Affirmations

If I Can, I will. This is a mantra I made for myself years ago. But it wasn't until yesterday (6.11.2021) that it truly clicked. This came with each day since my near death in 2020 listening to like-minded individuals who deal with spiritually and affirmations. None of us are perfect....NONE of us are. Perfection is not what we seek, it is acceptance of who we truly are once doubting ourselves and our God-given power of self has awaken. As I type these words at 5:05 a.m. I think about this amazing video I made to accompany the poem I made for the mantra. I hope that you all enjoy this mantra throughout all time. May it resonate within you as it has me. Set your vibrations high and enjoy the ride. One love.
