Those Who Wish Me Dead (Movie Review)

https://youtu.be/9cQOwsR6Xzk

Yooooo wsup world! It's ya man Slim Jim Longfoot aka Tha GOAT: King of America. As I type this I am watching the 2021 movie Those Who Wish Me Dead starring the iconic Angelina Jolie. This is the first movie of hers I've watched in a long time. Looking forward to watching her later this year in the Marvel Studios movie Eternals as well. This review will be a SPOILER REVIEW.

Those Who Wish Me Dead also stars Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, The Punisher) and Aidan Gillen (The Wire, Game of Thrones). As I type this, I'm over a hour into the movie as we get into the nitty gritty. In my honest opinion this role of Gillen is more menacing than all his years playing Littlefinger on the iconic HBO series. As I typed, his character just met his violent end.

The premise of the movie is two hired killers taking out an accountant. His son survives the first attempted hit. The two was on their way to get assistance from his brother-in-law, a county sheriff played by Bernthal. His ex-girlfriend, played by Jolie is a firefighter with a recent traumatic past. This was a great movie that has on the edge of your seat action. In 2021 it's good to see that practical movies still exist. Everything doesn't have to be a big superhero epic (although I do love those) and/or a budding franchise.

The fact that the two killers (the other played by Nicholas Hoult X-Men: First Class) created a forest fire as their cover for the crimes they would commit after tracking down the boy showcased the depths they would go to complete their mission. Their mission to do it by any means was instructed to them by a man named Arthur (Tyler Perry). That was interesting to see Perry in a menacing role for the first time ever. On my initial viewing. I will give it a solid 9 as a great standalone movie. Big shoutouts to the other lady of the film who dealt just as much damage in the film, the lovely Medina Senghore. When I first saw her on screen I automatically prayed her character's safety....and so glad she made it.

In conclusion, I hope you all go check out this movie. Until next time, stay blessed up and live life 'til ya die!!! 1💗

If I Can, I Will | A mantra of Positive Affirmations

If I Can, I will. This is a mantra I made for myself years ago. But it wasn't until yesterday (6.11.2021) that it truly clicked. This came with each day since my near death in 2020 listening to like-minded individuals who deal with spiritually and affirmations. None of us are perfect....NONE of us are. Perfection is not what we seek, it is acceptance of who we truly are once doubting ourselves and our God-given power of self has awaken. As I type these words at 5:05 a.m. I think about this amazing video I made to accompany the poem I made for the mantra. I hope that you all enjoy this mantra throughout all time. May it resonate within you as it has me. Set your vibrations high and enjoy the ride. One love.
